Here you see religious and non-religious, native Israelis and non-natives (i.e. Ethiopians etc.), holy and the mundane. All of these components are "us" and must be seen, respected, and included. But I totally agree with you. It is about time, the leaders of Israel also understand this! The world leaders also should realize, finally, there is no discussions, even thoughts about giving up, dividing, or making Jerusalem a international supervised city; We remember very well, what the picture looked like until 1967, when we with Hashem's help conquered and liberated the Old City, and making it part of the State of Israel. I remember visiting with my parents in 1963, and trying to view the Temple Mount and the Old City from Migdal David, and the guide telling us, not to go too close, because of being shot at by the Jordanian Soldiers on the other side. This will be the scenario again, if we let this travesty happen. Jerusalem is ours, united, not divided, forever! The world better understand this, and stop pushing and pressuring us to do this unforgivable act. "For Jerusalem I shall not be silent!" meckimo2006 posted on 11/16 at 07:01 PM. |
