By Yehoshua Halevi

The essence of Israel cannot be summed up with one or even 10 photographs. From the ancient to the modern, from the verdant north to the sandy south, Israel is culturally and physically so diverse and constantly changing as we move through the seasons and the cycle of the Jewish year. This small collection of images represents some of the pride, devotion, challenge and beauty of Israel as it celebrates 60 years of modern statehood.

I believe it is time for all Jewish people to reflect on what it took for Israel to become a nation. We must realize givingup parts of Jerusalem or Judea and Samaria to murderers and liars is totally unacceptable. We have work to hard to just give anyway even one meter is to much. Biblically the land is ours and the land it has been proven was never the Palestinians. Besides we all know none of the surrounding Arab nations wants them. No where in the world do people want to live amongst liars and murders. Let the Arab nations prove they can be honest and fair and give concessions that are tangible as well as verbal. Israel resist giving concession if the Arabs are not giving concessions for peace and coexistence.

Making concessions at this time almost incites violence. I would recommend against it. The Palestinians, indeed the surrounding Arab states must abandon the objective of violence. Israel not only has a right to exist but exist free of the constant unprovoked attacks which continue day after day. I see no excuse for this constant extreme violence.Israel has the right to defend itself.period!
