International Holocaust Remembrance Day

History

Today is International Holocaust Remembrance Day. The day was designated by the United Nations General Assembly resolution on November 1, 2005 during the 42nd plenary session.

On January 27, 1945, the Red Army liberated Auschwitz-Birkenau.
