Join Us – Complimentary Two-Day CLE Seminar on President’s Day Weekend

The Beth Din of America, together with the OU, YU’s Center of the Jewish Future, and the RCA, will be running a complimentary two day continuing legal education seminar this President’s Day weekend. The talks will take place on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at the Young Israel of Lawrence-Cedarhurst and on Monday, February 18, 2019 at Keter Torah in Teaneck from 9 am to 1 pm.

Both events will also be streamed live on yutorah.org.  Topics include: “The Prohibition of Litigating in Secular Court,” “Female Testimony in Beit Din: An Untold Story of Halachic Justice,” and “Does Jewish Law Like Lawyers? Building a Just Legal System.” Speakers include: Rabbi Mordechai Willig, Rabbi Yona Reiss, Rabbi Shlomo Weissmann, Michael A. Helfand, Esq., Benyamin Kaminetsky, Esq., and Jordana Mondrow, Esq.

The event is free, open to the entire community, and is geared to both attorneys and non-attorneys. No RSVP is required. Attorneys will be able to receive 4 CLE credits for each event (including some ethics and diversity credits).
