Gilad Shtukelman

20 minutes ago Benay, my wife, left to personally hand out wedding invitations to our closer friends here in our small community of Timrat. Our daughter Lianna is getting married at the end of the month.I expected her to be gone at least one hour but Benay is back too quickly. She tells me that Gilad Shtukelman was killed today in Lebanon. Gilad lived 3 houses from us. He was in Lianna’s class in high school.
The army representatives are still with the family as I write this memo.
We live in Timrat, a small community of 300 families. We built this community together with the other members and have been here 24 years.
Gilad Shtuckelman was killed to day in Lebanon. He lived at 16 Haoren St. We live at # 10. .
He was 1 of 3 children the Shtukelmans have fighting in Lebanon. I was going to talk to the mother tomorrow to get some background for my next letter.
Timrat has a small cemetery. Till today we didn’t have a military section in our cemetery. Till today.
