It’s high time to rewrite the song from Bye Bye Birdie: “What’s the Matter with Kids Today?” Let’s call it “What’s the Matter with Parents Today?” and compose lyrics that reflect the growing trend of parental abdication, ostrich tendencies and just plain spinelessness.
