Thirty Days

It’s Shushan Purim as I write this (Happy Shushan Purim if you’re reading it today!), which means that it’s time to start thinking about Pesach (Passover). The very first Passover law in Shulchan Aruch is “We investigate the laws of Passover for thirty days before Passover” (Orach Chaim 229:1). That’s today, so here we are!

To get us started, OU Holidays is focusing on Pesach preparations. To that end, we are featuring such articles and shiurim as How Do I prepare for Passover?, Holy Days: Cleaning for Passover by Rabbi Michael Whitman, Thirty Days Prior to Passover by Rabbi Yehoshua Grunstein, and Wine – Connection Between Purim and Pesach.

As the holidays draws closer, OU Holidays will spotlight more and more Pesach content, taking you through the Seder, into chol hamoed, and beyond. Check back frequently, or browse through our massive Passover archives here.
