OU Salutes the LAPD with Day of Appreciation

The Orthodox Union invited the leadership of West LAPD to a day of appreciation in recognition of the police departments’ heroic efforts, securing the Jewish community over the high holiday season.

Prior to the high holidays, the police department was in constant communication with Jewish communal leadership, and insured an extremely robust police presence throughout the entire holiday season, especially during times, when the orthodox community was out in the streets to celebrate.

In appreciation, the OU invited the police department leadership to a small lunch, as a token of our appreciation for their efforts on behalf of our community. the event was highlighted by a video message from the LAPD chief and personalized cards assembled by Yachad members thanking the officers.
