OU Job Board Retooling Classes Begin 8/15; Online, and in Manhattan

OU JOB BOARD OFFERS “RETOOLING” CLASSES AVAILABLE INTERNATIONALLY ONLINE, AND ON-SITE IN MANHATTAN; BEGINNING AUGUST 15

The OU Job Board | Employment and Resumé Opportunities, a leader in career advancement retraining by providing a variety of services to help job seekers advance, will be offering four series of “retooling classes” both online and on-site, beginning Monday, August 15. Registration is mandatory and space is limited. Participants must commit to attending all sessions.

A two week series running Monday, August 15-Friday, August 26 on “Learn Computer Basics” will take place 9:00-10:30 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, at the Borough of Manhattan Community College in lower Manhattan at 25 Broadway. Separate lab classes will be provided exclusively for the OU Job Board, and participants will be provided with a personal computer fully downloaded with the necessary software. Course overview includes learning to use the keyboard; basics of Microsoft Word; basics of emailing; and how to surf the Internet.

Online QuickBook Intensive for Beginners will be offered in a week-long four-session series beginning Monday, August 15-Thursday, August 18 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. EDT (8:30-10:30 p.m. Israel time). The course will cover getting started and setting up a QuickBooks company file; working with lists and bank accounts; entering sales information; receiving payments and making deposits; entering and paying bills; and analyzing financial data and reports.

The online Quickbooks Intensive for Intermediate Users will take place the same week, from 7:45-9:45 p.m. EDT.

A six-session series on Microsoft Excel will be offered over three weeks from 11:30 am-1:00 p.m. EDT (6:30-8:00 pm Israel time) beginning Monday, August 15-Thursday, September 1.

The OU Job Board also provides career counseling; resumé updating; an RSS feed (updated information sent to email accounts from websites monitored) which can be customized by location and job field; webcasts; the ability to directly upload personal resumés to be viewed by potential employers; and the ability to respond directly to available positions posted on the website.
