PA President Mahmoud Abbas is said to be suffering from pneumonia but his condition is improving. Late Monday, pictures of the Palestinian leader emerged showing him walking around a hospital in his robe.

Ahmed Tibi, an Arab Israeli lawmaker, said on Twitter that he “visited President Abbas in hospital tonight. He suffers from pneumonia and is treated with antibiotics,” and that Abbas’ condition had “markedly improved.”
