17 Aug 2018

An auction house is selling an unopened letter that was sent to the home of the Frank family while Anne and her family were hiding from the Nazis.

The envelope was sent by an insurance company. Bidding will begin at $570 at the Corinphila Auction House in Amstelveen on August 21.

The auction house called the letter “a testament to the most difficult period in the life of the Frank family.” The envelope bears a red stamp reading “return to sender.”
