There will be a Yachad Game Night in Englewood on Saturday night, February 6, as part of Yachad/National Jewish Council for Disabilities’ North American Inclusion Month (NAIM). The event is also Yachad’s sixth annual fundraising event in New Jersey.
Yachad/NJCD, an agency of the Orthodox Union now celebrating its 25th anniversary, is dedicated to enhancing life for those with disabilities. It has designated February 2010 as a month specifically to raise awareness and develop sensitivity of what it means for those who live with disabilities, and how to include them in the larger community.
The Game Night will take place at Space Odyssey, beginning at 8:00 p.m. There will be food served and musical entertainment provided by the Guthrie Brothers. Additionally, there will also be a Chinese auction and raffle drawing.
Chani Herrmann, Director of NJ Yachad, declared, “Every year the community comes out and has a blast at our Annual Game Night to benefit NJ Yachad programs and services. This year is no exception. As our services in the community have expanded to meet the growing needs of families who have children with special needs, we encourage people even more to come and have a fun night out while supporting Yachad’s presence in the community.”
