Yachad’s “Supporting Diverse Learners in the Classroom” Conference in Toronto, Tuesday, October 28

The International Jewish Resource Center for Inclusion and Special Education, a division of Yachad/NJCD, will present “Supporting All Diverse Learners in the Classroom” on Tuesday, October 28 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Beth Avraham Yoseph of Toronto (BAYT), The Joseph and Faye Tanenbaum Synagogue Centre.  The synagogue is located at 613 Clark Avenue West.

Yachad the flagship program of the Orthodox Union’s National Jewish Council for Disabilities (NJCD), provides unique social, educational and recreational programs for individuals with learning, developmental and physical disabilities with the goal of their Inclusion in the total life of the Jewish community.

Presenters include Dr. Bill Atwood, who will be the keynote speaker, as well as Dr. Jeffery Lichtman, International Director of Yachad.

The conference coordinator, Batya Jacob, director of the International Jewish Resource Center for Inclusion and Special Education, explained, “Dr. Bill Atwood is one of Canada’s leading experts in the field of literacy for children with learning challenges.  We are honored to have him join us as our keynote speaker.”

The cost is $110 per educator, with discounts for groups of educators from one school.
