Orthodox Union Chairman of the Board Stephen J. Savitsky will be guest speaker at Congregation Poale Zedeck in Pittsburgh from Friday, November 21 to Saturday, November 22 (Shabbat Parshat Toldot).
The OU-member synagogue is located at 6318 Phillips Avenue.
At the Friday night dinner Mr. Savitsky will deliver his presentation on “Looking at the Orthodox Jewish World From 35,000 Feet: Fasten Your Seat Belts, There Is Turbulence Ahead.” During the Shabbat morning service, he will be giving his sermon on “We Can Do It: Stopping Assimilation One Phone Call at a Time: The Unique Joint Venture Between the OU and Partners In Torah.” For seudat shlishit, he will be speaking on “I Had a Dream: Achdut (Unity) In The Torah World. Then I Woke Up.”
