Former OU President and Chairman Stephen Savitsky to Serve As Scholar-In-Residence in Edison, NJ, 11/20-21, Shabbat Parshat Vayetzei

The Orthodox Union’s former President and Chairman of the Board Stephen J. Savitsky will be scholar in residence at the Congregation Ohr Torah from Friday, November 20 to Saturday, November 21, Shabbat Parshat Vayetzei.

The OU member synagogue is located at 48 Edgemount Road.

Friday night Mr. Savitsky will be speaking on the topic “Ten Greatest Challenges to the Future of the Torah Community.” Saturday morning he will deliver his sermon before the Mussaf service on “Stopping Assimilation One Phone Call At A Time: Yes I’m Talking to You!” In the afternoon after Mincha, he will be lecturing on “I had a Dream: Achdus in the Torah World; Then I Woke Up.”
