The OU member synagogue is located at 48 Edgemont Road.
On Saturday morning, Rabbi Weil will deliver his sermon following the Mussaf service on “Apocalypse Now.” In the afternoon, he will be giving a lecture on the topic “The Watershed Moment That Defined Ashkenazic Jewry.” Rabbi Weil will culminate the weekend with a talk during Seudat Shlishit on “Paradigms.”
Rabbi Yaakov Luban, who in addition to serving as rabbi of Congregation Ohr Torah is also executive rabbinic coordinator at OU Kosher, declared, “Congregation Ohr Torah is very excited to welcome Rabbi Steven Weil to our community and we are deeply honored to have him as a scholar in residence for Shabbat. Rabbi Weil is a brilliant teacher and a dynamic and passionate speaker. No doubt, his three presentations during the course of his stay will be both inspiring and educational.”
