Rabbi Steven Weil, senior managing director at the Orthodox Union, will return to the Beth Jacob Congregation of Beverly Hills, where he served as the rabbi for a highly successful nine years, on Saturday, August 9 (Shabbat Nachamu, Parshat Va’Etchanan). The OU member synagogue is located at 9030 West Olympic Boulevard.
Shabbat morning Rabbi Weil will deliver his sermon on “Catharsis.” He will lead a lunch and learn session on “Transcending the Judeo-Christian Ethic.” In the afternoon, Rabbi Weil will culminate the weekend with his presentation on “The Longest Running Show on Broadway.”
Rabbi Kalman Topp said, “We are enthusiastically looking forward to welcoming Yael and Rabbi Weil and hearing his presentations, which are always fascinating. Our community has a deep sense of appreciation to Rabbi Weil for his years of outstanding leadership of Beth Jacob, and we’re excited to have a chance to reconnect with him.”
