Rabbi Steven Weil, senior managing director at the Orthodox Union, will present an OU Community Weekend at the Young Israel of Deerfield Beach from Thursday, January 8 through Saturday, January 10, Shabbat Parshat Shemot.
The OU-member synagogue is located at 202 Century Boulevard.
On Thursday evening he will be speaking on “Armageddon: The Issue That Will Define the Third Millennia.” During Shabbat morning services he will be delivering his sermon on “In the Aftermath of the Apocalypse: Opportunities Facing the Orthodox Community.” Later in the afternoon Rabbi Weil will give a lecture on “An Analysis of the Event That Changed the Destiny of Humanity.” He will give conclude the community weekend with his talk on the topic “In Light of the Obvious: How Does One Confront Reality.”
Rabbi Yisroel Edelman declared, “The whole community is looking forward to Rabbi Weil’s presentations. We appreciate the impact he has brought to Jewish communities throughout the country and we are delighted to be hosting him as well.”
