Rabbi Steven Weil, senior managing director at the Orthodox Union, will present an OU Community Weekend at the Young Israel of Hillcrest from Friday, April 24 to Saturday, April 25, Shabbat Parshat Tazria-Metzora.
The OU member synagogue is located at 169-07 Jewel Avenue.
On Friday evening after the Kabbalat Shabbat service, Rabbi Weil will speak on the topic “A Strange Choice.” Saturday morning, he will deliver his sermon following the Mussaf service on “The Lost Ten Tribes All Over Again.” Late afternoon, Rabbi Weil will give his lecture on “The Watershed Moment That Defined Ashkenazic Jewry.” Rabbi Weil will culminate the weekend with a talk before the Mincha service on “Pirkei Avot: The Prayer for the Government.”
