The Orthodox Union Department of Synagogue and Community Services will present an OU Community Weekend in Overland Park with Rabbi Steven Weil, OU senior managing director, at Congregation Beth Israel Abraham and Voliner (BIAV) from Friday, September 11 to Saturday, September 12, Shabbat Parshat Nitzavim.
The OU member synagogue is located at 9900 Antioch Road.
On Saturday morning Rabbi Weil will deliver a sermon prior to the Mussaf service on “Preventing the Other Bomb.” During the Shabbat luncheon in the synagogue following services, he will be speaking on “Apocalypse Now.” Later in the afternoon before Mincha, he will give a lecture on “The Fascinating World of the Rosh HaShanah Machzor.” Rabbi Weil will culminate the OU Community Weekend with a talk during Seudat Shlishit on “The Knight of Faith.”
