OU’s Rabbi Weil to Speak at 4/19 Yom HaShoa Commemoration in Queens

RABBI STEVEN WEIL TO SPEAK AT YOM HASHOA COMMEMORATION AT YOUNG ISRAEL OF KEW GARDENS HILLS, APRIL 19

Orthodox Union Executive Vice President Rabbi Steven Weil will be the Guest Speaker at the Yom Hashoa Commemoration at the Young Israel of Kew Gardens Hills. The annual event, “Rising From The Ashes” will take place this year on Thursday, April 19 beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the synagogue, 150-05 70 Road in Flushing.

Rabbi Weil will address “The Mesirat Nefesh (Self-Sacrifice) of Jews During The Most Horrific Times.”

Following his speech, the 38-minute version of the internally acclaimed film “Israel Inside” film will be shown. The video, hosted by former Harvard lecturer Dr. Tal Ben Shahar, examines the core character strengths that have enabled Israelis to overcome challenges and turn a barren desert into a flourishing nation.
