OU of the West Coast to Present Its Annual Kinnus Teshuva Program, September 13

26 Aug 2009

On Sunday, September 13, the Orthodox Union of the West Coast will present its Annual Kinnus Teshuva Program, 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at OU/NCSY headquarters, 9831 West Pico Boulevard.

The event will feature well-known rabbis speaking about different concepts in teshuvah (forgiveness), tefillah (prayer) and tzedaka (charity). They are: Rabbi Nachum Sauer, Yeshiva of Los Angeles, who will speak on “What Can We Do with Our Ma’aser Kesafim (tithing money): A Practicum on Which Organizations and Individuals Qualify for Tzedaka”; Rabbi Jonathan Rosenberg, Shaarey Tzedek of Valley Village, who will speak on “Teshuvah: If Not Now, When?”; and Rabbi Kalman Topp, of Congregation Beth Jacob of Beverly Hills, who will speak on “The Prayer of the Shofar.”

Rabbi Alan Kalinsky, OU’s West Coast Director, declared, “The OU’s Annual Kinnus Teshuva is an opportunity for the Los Angeles community to hear divrei chizzuk (words of strength) from leading rabbis in our city. The timely and relevant messages will hear from Rabbis Sauer, Rosenberg and Topp will inspire us as we reach the final days of 5769, and anxiously anticipate and await the arrival of 5770.”
