Just as people visit the mechanic to check the health of their cars, so too should they ensure that their resumes are in tip-top shape, especially in these trying economic times. To that end, the OU Job Board will host a “Resume Checkup Day,” for students, the employed and unemployed, and professional individuals, Sunday, March 22, from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. The event will be held at Congregation Rinat Yisrael, 389 West Englewood Avenue, Teaneck.
The event is co-sponsored by the Jewish Family Services of Bergen County.
Michael Rosner, Director of the OU Job Board, declared, “Whether you are employed these days or not, it’s always a good idea and prudent decision to have your resume checked out by a professional, who can evaluate its strengths and weaknesses and advise the best ways to present yourself and your qualifications in the best possible light.”
At the Resume Checkup, experts will review resumes and make corrections on the spot. There will be printers available to redo the corrected resume, and career counselors will be available to help decide the best professional path to pursue.
Although the event is free, advance registration is required and is on a first-come, first-serve basis. To register, visit www.ou.org/jobs, or contact jobs@ou.org or 212-613-8391.
