OU Job Board to Hold Excel/Adobe Skills CLasses, To Begin Monday, January 4

Recognizing that in today’s current economic and professional climate, many people who are unemployed are seeking to improve their technical skills for the job market, the Orthodox Union’s Job Board will hold classes in Excel and Adobe Illustrator. The classes are set to begin Monday, January 4, and all will be held at OU headquarters, 11 Broadway in Manhattan.

Michael Rosner, Director of the OU’s Job Board, declared, “The OU is proud to be able to offer those who are unemployed or those interested in re-tooling their skills for their professional careers a chance to learn computer programs such as Excel and Illustrator. The Job Board is constantly thinking of ways to help people improve their lives by improving their job prospects and professional careers.”

Excel for Beginners will take place on Mondays, January 4, 11, 18, and 25, and Wednesdays, January 6 and 13, from 10:15-11:30 a.m.

Excel for Intermediate Users will take place on Mondays, January 4, 11, 18, and 25, and Wednesdays, January 6 and 13, from 1:15-2:30 p.m. Israel Goodman, a computer professional and web designer who has taught at Baruch College, will teach both classes.

Adobe Illustrator, Part 1 will take place January 5, 7, 12, 14, 19, 21, from 11:45 a.m.-1:15 p.m.

Adobe Illustrator, Part 2 will take place on January 26 and 28, and February 2, 4, 9, and 11, from 11:45 a.m.-1:15 p.m. The teacher for both classes will be Linda Wong, Computer Graphic Professor, Bramson ORT College. A computer is not required but is suggested for the course.
