OU IS NUMBER ONE ON GOOGLE IN JEWISH HOLIDAYS CATEGORY

When visitors to the web think of Jewish holidays, they think of the Orthodox Union. The OU is the number one information source on Google in the Jewish holidays category, generating more than 10,000 hits per month from Google alone on www.ou.org.

With the holiday of Passover approaching (it begins the evening of April 19), there is certain to be a lot of googling of Jewish holidays.

“We receive over one million visits during the course of the year to the OU website, with approximately 300,000 made to the Jewish holidays site,” declared Gary Magder, OU Director of Web Development.

“The incoming traffic creates opportunities to disseminate Torah to the Jewish people around the world and to enrich their lives,” he said. “Holidays are a vital component of Jewish life, and with the help of today’s most popular search engine, Google, we are delighted to make this education available to wider audiences.”
