OU HONORS ADINA KIRSHNER, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF RINAT YISRAEL IN TEANECK, FOR OUTSTANDING SERVICE AND FOR CHAIRING THE CONFERENCE

At the Orthodox Union Executive Directors Conference held earlier this month in Boca Raton, FL, the OU honored Adina Kirshner of Congregation Rinat Yisrael, Teaneck, for Outstanding Service and also for chairing the conference.

The OU’s Second Annual Executive Directors Conference brought together synagogue administrators from around North America to discuss the ever-changing environment they face and how their role shapes synagogue policies. It is a project of the OU’s Pepa and Rabbi Joseph Karasick Synagogue Services Department.

Adina Kirshner has served as Executive Director at Congregation Rinat Yisrael in Teaneck since October 2003. She is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the synagogue, including weekly announcements, publishing a monthly bulletin, managing social hall rentals and custodial supervision. In addition, she serves as a liaison with the Operations Committee for Rinat Yisrael’s expansion that is currently underway.

Adina has attended security training with the Department of Homeland Security to coordinate tracking of the non-profit security grant expenditures soon to take place. She successfully raised over $12,000 in advertising from synagogue vendors and local businesses for the updated Rinat Directory.

She is also very involved in beta testing for Rinat’s new website, www.rinat.org. Prior to Rinat, Adina worked as a Financial Analyst at KPMG and a Budget Analyst at Pearson Education. She received her MBA in Finance from Fordham University.

Adina lives in Bergenfield with her husband Michael and three children.
