OU ANNOUNCES THAT 61 PARTICIPANTS IN BROOKLYN JOB FAIR HAVE ALREADY BEEN HIRED OR ARE IN FINAL STAGE OF INTERVIEWS

The Orthodox Union Job Board announced today that in a remarkable success story given the current job market, 61 people (and counting) who attended the OU Brooklyn Job Fair last month have been hired, or are currently in the stage of final interviews.

Michael Rosner, Director of the OU Job Board, stated, “Employment openings of a wide variety were posted on our website prior to the Fair and we required that only those whose backgrounds matched the need should register — as a result, the job candidates in attendance at this Fair were of the highest quality yet, and the job placement has been our most successful. We are deeply gratified to be able to give so many people hope and a practical way out of unemployment and underemployment in these turbulent economic times.”

Positions filled include: educational admission counselors; administrative assistants; licensed insurance agents; commission/sales jobs; physical and occupational therapists; warehouse management. Employers at the Fair who have hired include Bramson ORT College; Bayonne Medical Center in New Jersey; The Hebrew Academy for Special Children (HASC); New York Life Insurance and The Metropolitan Council on Jewish Poverty.
