AT THE OU: GIVING A GIFT OF LOVE TO A HOSPITALIZED CHILD ON CHANUKAH

What better way to bring a smile to a sick child’s face than by giving the little boy or girl a gift this holiday season? The Orthodox Union’s 14th Annual Chanukah Drive for Hospitalized Children will do just that in its Beautiful Child Campaign.

The Campaign is a program of the OU’s Department of Community Services, which is working with several hospitals in the New York area to bring gifts to children who are hospitalized.

“Participating in this mitzvah will help remove the darkness of loneliness while illuminating the light of love and caring during Chanukah for a hospitalized child,” declared Frank Buchweitz, OU National Director of Community Services and Special Projects.

Participants are urged to contribute $10 or more so that gifts can be purchased and distributed to children on Chanukah. Contributions may be made online, at www.oucommunity.org. For more information call 212-613-0667.
