A Mother from Fort Worth Expresses Gratitude for her Son’s Special Trip to Israel

11 Feb 2006

Jarrod Collins, 25, of Fort Worth took part recently in a “birthright Israel” trip, sponsored by Yachad, an agency of the Orthodox Union. Yachad, the flagship program of the Orthodox Union’s National Jewish Council for Disabilities (NJCD), provides unique social, educational and recreational programs for individuals with developmental, learning and physical disabilities.

Because of its expertise and great success, Yachad is the only organization authorized to run a “birthright” trip for individuals with disabilities.

Jarrod’s mother, Linda, recently wrote a letter of gratitude to Yachad. “Thank you so much for everything you and the rest of the staff did to make sure Jarrod and the rest had such a wonderful trip. Were it not for Yachad and its staff, he never would have been able to do something like that by himself (without us). He had a wonderful time and came back with lots of good memories. I tell everyone here what a great group you have. Several of us would like to start a chapter here in Fort Worth. I do not have the words to express our heartfelt thanks for what you did for our family.”
