The Golden Calf, which was created and worshipped at the foot of Mt. Sinai by the Jewish People only forty days after they received the “Aseret HaDibrot,” the Ten Commandments. This was their first major act of rebellion against G-d, for which Hashem threatened to destroy them, but Moshe saved them by his prayers.
