Tefillot (Prayer)
As we continue to monitor the developing situation in Israel, we encourage the Jewish community to pray for all of our brothers and sisters in harm’s way. In recognizing the power of tefillah (prayer), let us pour out our hearts to Hashem, as well as demonstrate to our brethren in Israel our care and concern for them. Tehillim (Psalms) can be recited at any time and can be accessed by clicking here. Additionally, the Orthodox Union hosts a daily Tehillim and Chizuk phone call. Torah
One of the areas in which Jews worldwide are focusing their support for our brethren in Israel is by intensifying their study of Torah. To facilitate this endeavor, OU Torah is providing some recommendations for relevant Torah-study programs. (Of course, any Torah study may be undertaken in the merit of eretz Yisrael; these are just some relevant suggestions.)
Take Action
Contact your U.S. Representatives and Senators to urge them to stand with Israel with a public statement in support of Israel’s right to defend itself against Hamas’ relentless rocket attacks.
