Chief Financial Officer / Chief Administrative Officer

Shlomo Schwartz graduated with a BA in Accounting from Touro College and has been certified as a CPA in NYS since January 1990. He began his career in public accounting working for both Ernst & Young and Eisner/Amper, after which he moved into the private sector. He has held senior financial management positions working for a diversified range of companies and industries (including: entertainment, internet, technology, telecommunications and executive search) both publicly and privately owned. Immediately prior to working for the Orthodox Union, he was SVP and International Controller of the Telecom division of IDT (a division with revenue exceeding $2B and part of a NYSE traded Company). He joined the Orthodox Union in October 2009 as a senior member of the executive management team starting out as CFO and then, in 2014, assuming additional administrative responsibilities of CAO.

Shlomo and his wife Gitty are the proud parents of 5 (two of which are married) and grandparents of 8. They live in Flatbush/Brooklyn, New York where Shlomo is actively involved in his Shul and community where he has been giving shiurim for >25 years and is also the author of two seforim on Pirkei Avos.
