Welcome New JLIC Couples

We are pleased to welcome two new campus couples to the JLIC family: Rabbi Gideon and Aliza Black at NYU, and Rabbi Noah and Sarah Cheses at Yale.

Gideon, originally from the UK, has a law degree from University College London and an MA in Jewish Philosophy from YU’s Bernard Revel Graduate School. He has served as rabbinic intern at Manhattan Jewish Experience and the Riverdale Jewish Center, as well as a political intern for Congressman Major Owens (D-NY), in the office of the Jerusalem mayor Uri Lupoliansky, and at the Royal Courts of Justice in London. Aliza, originally from New York, served on the staff of Midreshet HaRova and volunteered in the education department of Yad Vashem and in the maternity ward at Shaarei Tzedek Hospital.
Noah is originally from Boston, and attended Yeshiva University for semicha, as well as the Bernard Revel School of Jewish Studies, where he studied Jewish Thought. He has been the Dr. Norman Lamm Fellow in Jewish Thought as well as a Wexner Graduate Fellow, where I had the pleasure to work with him. Sarah has studied biology at Stern College and public health at Columbia University, as well as at Nishmat, the Jeanie Schottenstein Center for Advanced Torah Study for Women.

These are two outstanding couples, whose talents are highly in demand. We are thrilled that they have chosen to join the OU and JLIC.
