On February 11, the Orthodox Union will host an evening of reflection and Torah in memory of Rabbi Moshe Hauer zt’’l, whose leadership, scholarship, and vision continue to inspire Klal Yisrael.

The program will open with divrei Torah from distinguished rabbinic, communal, and public leaders. The evening will include a siyum marking the completion of Shas in Rabbi Hauer’s honor and will conclude with a reception.

We look forward to gathering in Rabbi Hauer’s memory to reflect, learn, and continue his legacy of Torah and unity.

Continuing His Legacy

Rabbi Hauer's vision for the future was vast and urgent. He fought to confront antisemitism with moral clarity, to make Jewish spaces safe havens of belonging, to empower the next generation of leaders—men and women alike—with Torah wisdom and courage, and to ensure every individual, including those with special needs, finds their rightful place in our community.

These were not distant dreams but active missions he pursued with relentless passion. This sacred work—this unfinished business—now falls to us.

Your donation in Rabbi Hauer's memory, zt"l, directly advances the causes he held most dear. Honor his legacy. Complete his mission. Give in his merit today.

One Man's Impact

Rabbi Hauer, former OU Executive Vice President, was a true talmid chacham, a master teacher and speaker who served as the voice of Torah to the Orthodox community and the voice of Orthodoxy to the world. He embodied what it means to be a Torah Jew and took nothing more seriously than sharing the joy and beauty of Jewish life with our community and beyond.

His leadership was marked by unwavering dedication, profound compassion, and a vision rooted in faith in Hashem, integrity, and love for Klal Yisrael. Through inspiring words and thoughtful counsel, through powerful advocacy and quiet acts of kindness, Rabbi Hauer uplifted everyone around him and left an indelible mark on every soul he encountered.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family. May they be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Yerushalayim.

As we gather to remember Rabbi Hauer, zt"l, we invite you to honor his memory by embodying the values he lived and by supporting the legacy of Torah, chesed, and unity that he championed with such passion and devotion.
