CasaLuker of Colombia, manufacturer of fine cocoa, has announced the OU certification of Luker Cacao Fino de Aroma Products and its derivatives. This includes such products as cocoa, cocoa mass, cocoa butter and cocoa powder. Products bearing the OU symbol will begin appearing this spring with a full rollout expected by summer 2012.
Francisco Gómez, International Business Director of CasaLuker S.A., said, “For CasaLuker, it is really important to have the chocolate couvertures brands Luker 1906 and Luker Cacao certified by the Orthodox Union. This is an indication of quality, fresh ingredients and high standards.”
OU Kosher rabbinic coordinator Rabbi Motti Cohen guided CasaLuker through the certification process. He expressed his “admiration and recognition to all of the company’s officials, who were eager to attain the OU certification while being fully cooperative in meeting the OU’s high standards.”
