Perri Tabak of Hancock Park, Director of Los Angeles Yachad who is leaving after ten years of service, will be honored with the “Professional Achievement Award.” The event will begin at 7:00 p.m. at Bnai David Judea Hall, 8906 W. “Yachad | Jewish Disabilities Integration,” the flagship program of the Orthodox Union’s National Jewish Council for Disabilities (NJCD), provides unique social, educational and recreational programs for individuals with learning, developmental and physical disabilities.
Dr. Jeffrey Lichtman, Yachad National Director, declared, “We are so happy to be recognizing Perri Tabak at the LA Yachad Oscars. Perri has done a fabulous job in serving families and growing Yachad programs these past 10 years — we are very proud and extremely appreciative of all that she has done. While she is moving on professionally, we know that she leaves a big part of her heart with us and will continue to stay involved with Yachad.”
Dr. Joe Goldfarb, National Yachad Assistant Director, stated, “National Yachad is proud to honor Perri Tabak for her outstanding service to Yachad and the Los Angeles Jewish community, as she moves on to new endeavors after ten years with us. Her devotion and dedication has shaped the Los Angeles Jewish community into the Inclusive community it is today.”
Ian Lurie, Assistant Director of Los Angeles Yachad, noted, “While spoofing the Oscars — sure to be full of laughs and surprises — the Yachad Oscars will most importantly be a celebration of unbelievable accomplishments, continued success, and everlasting friendships. The Awards ceremony will include a buffet dinner and simcha dancing, and at the end of the program, each Yachad member will receive an Oscar trophy.”
