OU’s Rabbi Weil to Visit Dallas as Scholar-in-Residence, 5/24-25

RABBI STEVEN WEIL TO VISIT DALLAS AS SCHOLAR-IN-RESIDENCE AT CONGREGATION SHAARE TEFILLA, MAY 24-25

OU Executive Vice President Rabbi Steven Weil will visit Dallas to serve as Scholar-in-Residence at Congregation Shaare Tefilla, from Friday, May 24-Saturday, May 25 (Shabbat Parshat Beha’alotecha).

Led by Rabbi Ari Perl, the OU member synagogue is located at 6131 Churchill Way.

Friday morning, Rabbi Weil will tour the Schultz Rosenberg Campus, home of Modern Orthodox schools Akiba Academy and Yavneh Academy.

Friday night, Rabbi Weil will discuss “The Song of the Sabbath” between Mincha and Maariv. Shabbat morning, during the morning drasha in the Main Shul, he will discuss, “Putting the ‘Fun’ in Dysfunctional.”

Later in the day, Rabbi Weil will give an afternoon presentation on the unique Hebrew letters found in the Torah portion, entitled “The Inverted Nuns.” Finally, he will address “What is the Color of Jewish Blood?” during seudat shlishi at the synagogue.
