RABBI STEVEN WEIL TO PRESENT OU WEEKEND IN CHICAGO AT CONGREGATION K.I.N.S., AUGUST 31
Rabbi Steven Weil, executive vice president of the Orthodox Union, will present an OU Weekend in Chicago at Congregation K.I.N.S. of West Rogers Park for Shabbat Parshat Nitzavim-Vayelech, Saturday, August 31.
Led by Rabbi Leonard Matanky, the OU member synagogue is located at 2800 W. Northshore Avenue.
Shabbat morning before Mussaf, Rabbi Weil will discuss “The State of Our Families: The Quality of Marriage in the Orthodox Community.”
Rabbi Weil will speak during a special Shabbat lunch, held in cooperation with Hebrew Theological College’s Shabbat of Chizuk. He will present “Opportunities and Indictments.”
Later in the day, Rabbi Weil will give a presentation at 6:20 p.m. on “The Fascinating World of the Rosh Hashana Machzor.” Following Mincha at 7:05p.m., he will speak during seudah shlishit on “What is the Akeidah Doing on Rosh Hashana?”
Additionally, Rabbi Weil will speak Saturday night at 10:15p.m. with a pre-selichot presentation, “Incantations and Dying for Other’s Sins: How Do We Understand Selichot?”
