ORTHODOX UNION’S YOUNG LEADERSHIP CABINET SPONSORS EVENING FOR YOUNG LEADERS

The Young Leadership Cabinet (YLC) of the Orthodox Union held its 2008 kickoff event for young leaders at Le Marais’ new Clubhouse Café in Manhattan on Saturday night, February 2. The event was an opportunity for aspiring young professionals in the Jewish community to connect with like-minded individuals and to support the Sderot Children’s Emergency Fund, which provides therapies and counseling to Israeli children experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder from the rockets that reigned down on their city.

The event drew more than 75 people from places including Upper West Side, Washington Heights, Brooklyn, Queens, and the Five Towns, who enjoyed the atmosphere and delicious food of Le Marias’s newest venture. (Le Marais is an OU certified restaurant.) The Young Leadership Cabinet of the OU promotes volunteerism and activism among young adults within the greater Orthodox community. For more information, and to find out how to become involved, contact Tzivia Arnow, director of the Young Leadership Cabinet, at 212-613-8134 or arnowt@ou.org.
