OU’s Rabbi Weil to be Scholar-in-Residence at Bais Medrash of Bergenfield, June 30

OU EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT RABBI STEVEN WEIL TO SERVE AS SCHOLAR-IN-RESIDENCE AT BAIS MEDRASH OF BERGENFIELD, JUNE 30

Orthodox Union Executive Vice President Rabbi Steven Weil will visit the Bais Medrash of Bergenfield as Scholar–in-Residence for Shabbat June 30 (Parshat Chukat). The synagogue is located at 371 South Prospect Avenue.

Rabbi Weil will speak Shabbat morning regarding “The Best of Times and the Worst of Times.” Between Mincha and Maariv, he will address, “What is the Ultimate Chok (Decree)? During seudat shlishit, Rabbi Weil will present “The Two Greatest Challenges facing Orthodox Jewry in the 21st Century.”

Rabbi Moshe Stavsky, rabbi of the shul, said, “We are delighted and excited to welcome Rabbi Weil back to the Bais Medrash of Bergenfield as Scholar-in-Residence. Rabbi Weil has been very well received during his previous visits to our shul. His presentations are always scholarly, passionate and thought provoking.
