OU’s Rabbi Weil to Visit Stamford as Scholar-in-Residence, This Shabbat

RABBI WEIL TO SERVE AS SCHOLAR-IN-RESIDENCE, THIS SHABBAT, APRIL 27, AT CONGREGATION AGUDATH SHOLOM IN STAMFORD

OU Executive Vice President Rabbi Steven Weil will serve as Scholar-in-Residence this Shabbat, April 27, Parshat Emor, at Congregation Agudath Sholom in Stamford. The OU member synagogue is located at 301 Strawberry Hill Avenue.

Rabbi Weil will give the morning drasha, “Putting the Fun in Dysfunctional: The Challenges of Family Life in the Orthodox Community.” Following a kiddish after services, he will address, “The Best of Times, The Worst of Times: Opportunities in Light of the Dramatic Shift in Jewish Demographics.”

As the day moves on, Rabbi Weil will speak an hour before Mincha on “The Event That Irrevocably Changed the Destiny of Ashkenazic Jewry.” Later, at the seudat shlishit, he will address, “The Crisis of Orthodox Affordability: A Light at the End of the Tunnel.”
