OU’s Rabbi Weil Speaks at Baron Hirsch in Memphis, 1/ 6-7

OU’S RABBI STEVEN WEIL TO SERVE AS MEMPHIS SCHOLAR-IN-RESIDENCE AT BARON HIRSCH SYNAGOGUE, JANUARY 6-7

Rabbi Steven Weil, Executive Vice President of the Orthodox Union, will travel to Memphis to serve as Scholar-in-Residence at OU member Baron Hirsch Synagogue, Parshat Vayechi, Friday, January 6-Saturday, January 7.

Friday evening, Rabbi Weil will speak during a special communal dinner hosted by the synagogue, addressing, “Political Action and the Baron Hirsch Network.” Rabbi Weil will speak at the synagogue in the morning, discussing “Bumper Stickers.” At 4:15 p.m., he will present “The World’s Most Perfected Man,” followed by “Challenge of Orthodox Affordability for the 21st Century” during seudah shlishit at the synagogue.

Rabbi Shai Finkelstein, Baron Hirsch Senior Rabbi, noted, “I am very pleased to have Rabbi Weil as our Scholar-in-Residence at Baron Hirsch on January 6. Rabbi Weil is known to be a dynamic speaker and very passionate about our beloved State of Israel. I am confident that he will inspire even more people to get involved with Israel advocacy and political activism.”
