OU’s Rabbi Weil to Visit Englewood as Scholar-in-Residence, January 4-5

OU’S RABBI STEVEN WEIL TO VISIT ENGLEWOOD AND RABBI GENACK AS CONGREGATION SHOMREI EMUNAH SCHOLAR-IN-RESIDENCE, JANUARY 4-5

Rabbi Steven Weil, Orthodox Union Executive Vice President, will visit Englewood as the Scholar-in-Residence at Congregation Shomrei Emunah the weekend of Friday, January 4-Saturday, January 5 (Shabbat Shemot). There, he will be the guest of Rabbi Menachem Genack, CEO of OU Kosher and spiritual leader of the Congregation.

The OU member synagogue is located at 89 Huguenot Avenue.

On Friday night, Rabbi Weil will speak at an oneg on “The Defining Issues That Will Shape 21st Century American Jewry.” He will present the Shabbat morning drasha on “Don’t Jew Me.” Shabbat afternoon, Rabbi Weil will present a workshop on “The Evolution of the World’s Greatest Leader.” Rabbi Weil will also speak during seudat shlishit on “The World’s First BDS Movement.”

Rabbi Genack noted, “Congregation Shomrei Emunah is very excited to host as our Scholar-in-Residence Rabbi Steven Weil, who brings such tremendous excitement with his broad range of insights as one of American Jewry’s leaders.
