OU’S RABBI STEVEN WEIL TO BE KEMP MILL SYNAGOGUE SCHOLAR-IN-RESIDENCE, NOVEMBER 12-13 IN SILVER SPRING

The Orthodox Union’s Rabbi Steven Weil will be Scholar-In-Residence Shabbat Parshat Vayetzei, November 12-13, at the Kemp Mill Synagogue, 11910 Kemp Mill Road in Silver Spring.

Friday night, Rabbi Weil will speak at an oneg held at the shul on “Debunking the Myth of the Judaeo-Christian Ethic.” He will be sharing insights on the weekly Torah portion during shacharit on “Jacob’s Great Encounter.” He will be attending a community-wide seuda shlishit hosted by NCSY, which is to immediately follow mincha. Saturday night, Rabbi Weil will present a discussion on “Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus -The Jewish Version.”

Rabbi Yaakov Bieler, rabbi of the shul, declared, “The Kemp Mill Synagogue community is looking forward to welcoming Rabbi Steven Weil November 12-13, Parshat Vayetzei.
