On Shabbat afternoon, he will speak at the Sephardic Bikur Cholim.

On Saturday night, he will speak at Congregation Shevat Achim on Mercer Island. Mr. Savitsky will be part of a joint event with Rabbi Daniel Korobkin, OU West Coast’s Director of Community and Synagogue Services, who will be the scholar-in-residence at the synagogue that weekend. Congregation Ezra Bessaroth is co-sponsoring the night’s event.

Eli Genauer, of Seattle and member of the OU Board of Directors, coordinated Mr. Savitsky’s visit. He declared, “We are eagerly awaiting President Savitsky’s visit and are anxious to hear him discuss the many new initiatives that the Orthodox Union has launched. Seattle has had a long history of association with the OU and we look forward to strengthening our ties with the OU as a result of this visit.”
