OU JOB BOARD LOOKS FOR LOCAL SPONSORS FOR ONLINE CLASSES IN COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN (CAD)

When an anonymous donor in Atlanta, who will be taking the OU Job Board’s Computer Aided Designed (CAD) course volunteered to pay the incidental expenses for four other people from Atlanta to take the course, Director Michael Rosner had an idea: He is calling on sponsors across the country to also provide financial aid to those from their communities who want to take the course. Registered students will be issued a certificate following completion, along with a free 36-month educational license.

Between the administrative fee of $72 and $150 in course materials (book/online text), the course expenses are more than $200 per person.

According to Mr. Rosner, “People always ask ‘What profession is good to transition to?’ The answer as of today is CAD. CAD is in high demand and starts off with a very good basic salary. Upon achieving expert status you can make well into the six figures with CAD. Of course there is never a guarantee of finding a position, but CAD gives you a real opportunity for a high-paying job.”

The OU Job Board also provides career counseling; resumé updating; an RSS feed (updated information sent to email accounts from monitored websites) which can be customized by location and job field; webcasts; the ability to directly upload personal resumés to be viewed by potential employers; and the ability to respond directly to available positions posted on the website.

To sponsor any e-learning class or student, contact Michael Rosner at {encode=”mailto:jobsco@ou.org” title=”jobsco@ou.org”}.
