It is with great pleasure that we invite you to participate in the forthcoming Biennial Convention of the Orthodox Union this coming Thanksgiving, Wednesday evening November 22 – Sunday morning November 26 in Israel. The Orthodox Union’s articulate voice of support and solidarity with the religious community of Israel and world Jewry is well known. The Biennial conference will be a Torah-filled, spiritually uplifting program, which will highlight strengthening the ties of Torah Judaism in North America and Israel.
The Convention, which sold out quickly two years ago, will once again be held at the Jerusalem Renaissance Hotel. Early arrivals and extensions can easily be arranged. We will be offering pre-convention options for touring.
The cost of the convention, $699 per person, double occupancy, includes Thursday, Friday, and Sunday breakfasts, Wednesday night dinner, Thanksgiving dinner, Friday night dinner, Oneg Shabbat, Shabbat lunch, Seuda Shlishit, and the Melava Malka. Group flight transfers to and from the airport in Israel and porterage will also be included for those participating in group flights, as listed in the enclosed airline information sheets. We have received group flights and prices from both EL Al Airlines as well as ISRAIR. You may also want to consider checking with your travel agent or the Internet, for the best available airline pricing and schedule that meets your needs. Please note an early bird discount of $100 per person is available until the summer.

** The Convention will reflect an outstanding program focusing on the themes of Israel advocacy, meeting communal and synagogue needs, and major issues impacting upon Orthodoxy. Each OU synagogue is entitled to send delegates to the convention, and delegate fees are fully tax deductible in accordance with IRS rules. This is an excellent opportunity to strengthen our personal and communal ties with Israel as well as have a voice in establishing national priorities of the Orthodox Union. Please contact Synagogue and Community Services office for details (212-613-8188 or frank@ou.org).
