Group Renews Call For More Aggressive Laws To Fight Domestic Terrorism
The Orthodox Union, the largest Orthodox synagogue organization in the United States, sent its condolences to the members of the West Freeway Church of Christ in White Settlement, TX, on the horrific shooting during prayer services yesterday.
“Less than 24 hours after we expressed outrage at a heinous attack on a synagogue in Monsey, NY, we were shaken by the shooting at the West Freeway Church,” said OU President Moishe Bane. “A church or a synagogue should be a sanctuary and when that’s violated by a domestic terrorist we all must come together.”
“We have told our political leaders that the time for platitudes is over. Now must be a time of action to label these acts domestic terrorism and more aggressively prosecute the perpetrators of these attacks as the domestic terrorists that they are,” said OU Executive Vice President Allen Fagin.
