Today, the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America, the nation’s largest Orthodox Jewish umbrella organization, commended Senators Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Dean Heller (R-NV) for their introduction of the Jerusalem Embassy and Recognition Act of 2015. The bill calls for the United States to recognize Jerusalem as the undivided capital of Israel and for the President to implement the Jerusalem Embassy Act of 1995, moving the United States’ embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
