FOR MEN ONLY: OU AND BETH JACOB TO PRESENT TWO-PART SERIES, ‘INTIMACY FROM A TORAH PERSPECTIVE,’ IN BEVERLY HILLS

The OU West Coast Region and (Congregation) Beth Jacob (of Beverly Hills) Young Professionals will present a two-part series for men only, “Intimacy from a Torah Perspective.” It will be led by Rabbi Adir Posy, Assistant Director of Community and Synagogue Services of the West Coast Region.

The sessions will be held 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays — March 2 and March 9 — at Beth Jacob Congregation, 9030 West Olympic Blvd.

Topics include, “Understanding the Jewish Approach,” “Do’s and Don’ts,” and “Where Nidda Fits In.”

The program is free of charge to OU or Beth Jacob members. For non-members, the charge is $10 for both classes. Sponsorship opportunities are available.

According to Rabbi Posy, “The focus of this series is twofold. We had a fabulous session on similar topics for women facilitated by our JLIC educator at UCLA, Sharona Kaplan. Part of the feedback we received was that many of the questions that women had were also of interest to their husbands. Thus, it was natural that we respond by creating a similar series for men. Additionally, the goal of this session is not to offer psychological or medical advice, but rather to educate our community that the Torah has a deep and nuanced understanding of all areas of our lives, even those that we think are the most private and not Godly. In fact, the areas of intimacy and shalom bayit are perhaps some of the most Godly in our lives and the goal of these talks is to reinforce that idea.”
